Code Compliance Research Report (CCRR) confirms system’s IBC and IRC compliance

Fortress® Evolution steel deck framing is now fully verified for “Structural Performance” by Intertek, an independent assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company. A Code Compliance Research Report (CCRR) issued by the third party organization confirmed that Evolution steel deck framing adheres to the structural performance standards in the 2018 International Building Code® (IBC) and 2018 International Residential Code® (IRC). With this designation, Fortress can offer commercial and residential building professionals a proven, enduring framing solution tested for safety.

To verify compliance, Intertek rigorously tested the entire cold-formed steel deck framing system. This included Fortress Evolution steel deck framing, joists, ledgers, rim joists, beams, support posts, brackets and connectors, and more. Fortress offers all of these components in one comprehensive package as a Total Solution.

This information allows builders to use the CCRR as a roadmap to constructing a deck framing system and more fully realize the possibilities available with light-gauge steel.
